Insights That Bring Enlightenment
Last night I slept in my nephew’s room, and it was quite an eye-opening event. In fact, I feel safe in saying the life lesson I learned has brought me closer to nirvana. Here’s what happened.
My nephew is an animal lover, so I shared the room with his pet hamster and a chihuahua named Bubba. The hamster was making a lot of noise. Apparently it thought that since my nephew was MIA, now was a good time to try and make an escape.
Hamster was making so much racket in its escape attempt that Bubba decided to take advantage of the situation and get closer to the hamster cage than he’s normally allowed.
So there was the rodent trying desperately to gain its liberty, while just out of sight, death loomed in the form of a six pound killer. If only the hamster could realize that what it wanted most in life would surely bring about its demise.

There are many situations in our life that we don’t fully comprehend until we get some insight into them. Hopefully we gain experience and get insight sooner than later.
Enlightenment or waking up is something that happens when you get an insight into something that resonates deep within you as the truth, and it now becomes your reality instead of just a passing thought through your mind.
This happens throughout our lives. There’s the day you realize that unhealthy relationships are just a waste of your time and there’s so many more productive things you could be doing with your life instead. There’s the day that the bad habit just doesn’t seem to be as important to you anymore and you realize that the other side of the habit might be a little greener.
I’m not saying that you didn’t understand that it was a bad thing or that you actually wanted it in your life, but it takes that insight or special reason that turns it into a realization. Once you realize it, then it becomes your truth and actually hits home.
A lot of people are heading towards a new type of consciousness which is evolving into a compassionate and loving way of being. This new way of life includes the Law of Attraction, manifesting, and understanding our universe better among many other things. People are getting on board because they can feel the truth that resonates within them when they hear or read about it.
How many times have you heard an idea over and over but it just didn’t sink in? And the day that it penetrates, you can’t understand how you didn’t get it before. It happens all the time for all sorts of things.
Everyone is different, and a thought or explanation that might enlighten someone does not always have the same effect on another person. They don’t have that same light bulb moment. It may not be worded right or they just might not understand or feel it yet. It might be their ego blocking the way.
Many times I’ve explained something to someone with really good reasons to back it up, yet they insisted that I was wrong and they wouldn’t even let the possibility in. Yet after days, months, or years they came to the same understanding from something they heard from someone else or read somewhere else. The way I said it was not the way they could understand it or accept it. That used to drive me nuts, but now I get it. It’s all on your own time.
If you are a person who is trying to understand and reaching out to find the knowledge and insights that are out there, you will get it. You will see it, understand, and be enlightened by it eventually. Keep searching because your answer is right around the corner for you to find.
